We’d like to celebrate World Cancer Day (WCD) by discussing our recent collaboration with The Keep A Breast Foundation (KABF). WCD is a worldwide day of awareness led by the Union for International Cancer Control. Its goal is to help educate and inform those who are affected directly or indirectly by this terrible illness. Before getting into what we did, we’d like to highlight a few things about The Keep a Breast Foundation. We’d also like to thank our community for supporting a noble cause. With your help, we were able to give back to those affected by this terrible disease.
Bringing Awareness to Breast Cancer
The Keep A Breast Foundation’s mission is to “empower young people around the world with breast health education and support”. Since 2002, The Keep A Breast Foundation has been able, “to highlight artists emerging from skateboarding, music, and action sports scenes to put breast cancer awareness on the map for a younger generation” through various art benefits across the US and Europe. Beyond raising tremendous funds to support those affected directly by breast cancer, The Keep A Breast Foundation has continued to make an effort in breast cancer education. They have done so through their blog, events, social media, iOS application, and collaborations like ours!
A Pink Dab Pen to Help Support the Cause
In order to honor Keep A Breast Foundation’s mission, we wanted to partner up and create a unique Terp Pen XL to support their efforts. The Pink Keep A Breast Foundation Terp Pen XL was the result. In October 2020, we launched this product to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Upon launching we donated $10 for every Pink Terp Pen XL purchased. And that $10 will go directly to The Keep A Breast Foundation.
Educating the Cannabis Community on the Disease
For the content of this campaign, much like The Keep A Breast Foundation, we wanted to be sure to include breast cancer education to help raise awareness in our community. To do so, we collaborated with The Keep A Breast Foundation to include statistics, facts, and information throughout October within our social content. In doing so, we learned that a lot of our community is indirectly or directly affected by breast cancer. According to The American Cancer Society, about 1 in 8 women will get breast cancer. And men even have a 1 in 1000 chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
A Vaporizer Company that Gives Back
This motivated us here at Boundless Technology to match the $10 donation for October to donate directly to The KABF. With the love and support from you and our community, we were able to raise $10,000 to donate directly to The Keep A Breast Foundation’s efforts to bring awareness to the disease. We want to thank each and every one of you for supporting such a noble cause. If you’d like to learn more about breast cancer and how you can further bring awareness, visit their site at https://www.keep-a-breast.org/.
If you missed out on a Pink XL last October, stay tuned for October 2021!
